To mark the International Day for Tolerance —celebrated each year on November 16— the Foundation for Culture and Religious Tolerance (FCTR) hosted a lecture at its headquarters in Madrid. The session explored the concept of tolerance in general, with a particular focus on the role of tolerance within Emirati culture and its vision for peace and peaceful coexistence. It highlighted notable experiences and achievements in the United Arab Emirates, which today stands as a beacon of tolerance, peace, and harmony among societies.
The Foundation welcomed Dr. Mahbouba Abdulrahman, Assistant Lecturer at the University of Sharjah (UAE) and currently seconded to the University of Córdoba in Spain. His Excellency Saif Mohammed Al Hamli, UAE Military Attaché to Spain, also attended.
The event opened with remarks from His Excellency Dr. Musbeh Saeed Al Ketbi, who provided an overview of the Foundation’s history, its affiliation with the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, and its key programs and activities.

At the close of the lecture, the Foundation presented Dr. Mahbouba Abdulrahman with its commemorative shield in recognition of her valuable contributions.
