The Foundation for Islamic Culture and Religious Tolerance (FICRT), in Madrid, led by H.E. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan—also President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace (GCTP)—has strongly condemned the brutal terrorist bombing that struck St. Elias Church in Syria, resulting in the tragic loss of 25 innocent lives and injuring 63 others.
In his official statement, H.E. Al Jarwan denounced the attack as a cowardly assault on sacred spaces and human dignity. He stressed that such acts of violence are in total contradiction to all religious and humanitarian values, and are designed to destabilize societies by inciting division and hatred among communities.
On behalf of both the Foundation and the Global Council, Al Jarwan extended heartfelt condolences to H.E. President Ahmed Al-Shara of Syria, the bereaved families, the Syrian people of all backgrounds, and the respected Christian community in Syria and worldwide. He expressed full solidarity with the victims and their families and wished a speedy recovery for those injured.
He reaffirmed the unwavering commitment of both institutions to promoting tolerance, coexistence, and respect for religious sanctities, while intensifying global efforts to reject violence and extremism and foster a culture of peace across all nations.
