His Excellency Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, has announced the Council’s commendation of the extraordinary Arab summit convened in Cairo on March 4, 2025. He described the summit as a historic milestone in the journey of the Palestinian cause, recognizing its success in uniting Arab efforts against attempts to displace Palestinian people from their homeland. Additionally, the summit effectively formulated a unified Arab vision on the necessary steps to confront the challenges and threats jeopardizing Arab peace and regional stability.
Al Jarwan emphasized that the speeches delivered by Arab leaders at the summit underscored a clear consensus—both regionally and internationally—that addressing the Palestinian issue is not merely a political obligation but a humanitarian, religious, and Arab duty. He stressed that any discussion of peace in the Middle East is meaningless without a comprehensive and just resolution to the Palestinian cause. Moreover, he reaffirmed that any attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians from their land will inevitably fail, given the firm rejection by both the Arab world and the international community of such actions, which constitute blatant violations of international law and a denial of justice and fundamental human rights.
The President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace also praised the summit’s pragmatic approach in presenting a collective Arab plan for early recovery and reconstruction in Gaza. This initiative prioritizes Palestinian leadership in rebuilding efforts, with participation from the World Bank, the United Nations Development Program, and all international partners, thereby reaffirming the global humanitarian obligation toward the Palestinian people, who have endured decades of suffering under occupation, resulting in the loss of tens of thousands of lives, most of whom were women and children.
Al Jarwan further stressed the critical need for the international community, along with all relevant institutions, to unite in providing all possible forms of material, political, and diplomatic support for the implementation of Egypt’s reconstruction plan. This initiative is based on concrete data regarding the scale of destruction in Gaza and the urgent requirements for rebuilding efforts.
The Global Council for Tolerance and Peace reaffirms its unwavering commitment to supporting justice, human rights, and peace, and urges the international community to uphold its moral and legal responsibilities in ensuring the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination, dignity, and peace.
