On November 24th, 2024, during a historic session of the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace (IPTP), held in cooperation with the Kingdom of Cambodia, the Universal Peace Charter was officially established. This momentous event was endorsed by over one hundred parliaments from member states of the IPTP, marking a significant step toward fostering global solidarity and collaboration for peace, harmony, dignity, and prosperity for all of humanity.
The Universal Peace Charter is grounded in core principles such as unity in diversity, mutual respect, non-aggression, and peaceful coexistence. It champions values of tolerance, justice, equality, and peaceful resolution of disputes. By aligning with the fundamental goals of the United Nations Charter and other international treaties like the Bandung Declaration and the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia, the Peace Charter serves as a comprehensive framework to promote peace and sustainable development worldwide.This landmark agreement reflects a collective commitment to building a more harmonious world, where cooperation and understanding among nations pave the way for a brighter, peaceful future for all people and the planet.
