FICRT and Abrazando Ilusiones collaborate to improve the lives of minors, migrants, and refugees

Jumaa AlKaabi, president of the FICRT Foundation, and Hassan Handi, president of the Abrazando Ilusiones Foundation, signed a collaboration agreement on June 24 during the latter’s visit to the FICRT headquarters.

The agreement envisions the creation of joint work lines through the implementation of socio-educational projects and activities, as well as the promotion of the Arabic language and intercultural tolerance, both of which are goals of both foundations.

The FICRT and the Fundación Abrazando Ilusiones intend to make this collaboration a reality in three distinct projects.

The first is concerned with the education and empowerment of unaccompanied minors, migrants, and refugees.

Second, training programmes for officials from the Departments of Justice and Interior, as well as lawyers and other public administration officials, are planned.

Third, initiatives to disseminate knowledge, interculturalism, and positive visibility will be implemented.

Abrazando Ilusiones, founded in 2016, is a non-profit, non-denominational, and independent organisation whose main goal is to improve the living conditions of people who are vulnerable in some way.

Its headquarters promote active coexistence by encouraging participation, dialogue, and exchange. Its activities are primarily focused on migrant assistance, as well as training, translation, and interpretation.
