While President Santiago Peña was on an international tour of Venezuela and the United States, Vice President Pedro Alliana, acting as head of state, received Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al Jarwan, President and Founder of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace (GCTP), at an official audience this Thursday.

The institutional meeting took place in the context of the Regional Conference for Latin America and the Caribbean, held in the Paraguayan capital under the theme “Artificial Intelligence for Peace: Education, Tolerance and Inclusion for a Future Latin America and the Caribbean”.

During the audience at the Government Palace, Alliana reaffirmed Paraguay’s commitment to democratic stability and multilateral diplomacy, while Al Jarwan highlighted the country’s role as a focal point for regional debate. Both officials agreed on the urgent need to coordinate efforts between national governments and international organisations to ensure that technological innovation is accompanied by ethical frameworks, equitable access and the protection of human dignity.
