The President of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace (GCTP), H.E. Ahmad Bin Mohamed Al Jarwan signed the renewal agreement with the Government of Malta (member of the European Union) regarding its Headquarters and Diplomatic Immunities.
The agreement was signed by the Minister of Foreign and European Relations and Trade, H.E. Dr. Ian Borg, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Malta in the presence of the Speaker of the Maltese Parliament, H.E. Excellency Mr. Angelo Farrugia, in the Government Chamber of the Maltese Parliament in the capital, Valletta.

The agreement is about the recognition of the Government of the Republic of Malta of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace as an independent international organization that works on spreading the values of tolerance and peace, through its various organs, the most important of which are the International Parliament for Tolerance and Peace and the Assembly General for Tolerance and Peace, and enjoys diplomatic immunities that support the nature of its work in parliamentary and diplomatic fields.
Within five years, the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace succeeded in building solid ground in the international arena, attracting more than 100 parliamentarians representing more than 100 countries around the world as its members, and establishing a global umbrella that brings together and mobilizes the efforts of all parties concerned with tolerance and peace in different parts of the world.
Al Jarwan stated that due to the cooperation and belief of all countries, parliaments, and organizations in the lofty goals called for by the Council of spreading the values of tolerance, peace, dialogue, and combating extremism and terrorism, the Council succeeded in achieving widespread and various achievements.
For his part, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Malta affirmed his country’s continued support for the Council and its lofty humanitarian goals, pointing to his pleasure in renewing the headquarters agreement with the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, which expresses through its work and achievements in the areas of tolerance and peace the same aspirations and goals of the Republic of Malta in terms of tolerance and global peace
